My journey into medicine began in childhood, inspired by a multi-generational family of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners. Growing up watching my father, Wanshou Guo, heal patients at his renowned clinic, I developed a lifelong passion for holistic well-being.
To bridge Eastern and Western medical wisdom, I pursued formal clinical training, earning a Bachelor of Clinical Medicine (Western Medicine) and a Master of Acupuncture. Over my 30-year medical career, I spent many rewarding years working as a clinical OB/GYN (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) doctor overseas, gaining profound insights into women’s reproductive health, hormonal balance, and embryonic development.
In 2017, I brought this unique dual expertise to New Zealand, becoming a registered member of both Acupuncture NZ (AcNZ) and the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand (CMCC), as well as an approved ACC provider. While I regularly help patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries through ACC-covered treatments, my true clinical passion and expertise lie in women’s health and reproductive wellness.
